1. I start the server normally (it reports ok status)
2. I start the iPad app and it connects to the server (it "pings" and iPads ip address is correct)
3. I send the iPad app to the background by pressing the iPads HOME button ONCE (it does not quit the app?)
4. I then "call" the iPad app back to the foreground by pressing the iPad Home button TWICE and tapping on TP-icon from the list OR launch it from the "desktop" by tapping the TP icon.
5. At this point, when TP re-enters the stage, it seeks for the server again, because it displays the searching for server message in the left top corner
6. The inputs begin to work! (Well, the TP Server reports them at least)

Hope this helps for debugging.

very interesting. so the second time you open the app, when it starts working, does the "searching for server" message go away, or does it stay on the screen?

Well done - your fix works for me too. Now to try with X52 in FSX.

oh, sorry. i forgot that version 1.0.1 is not approved on itunes yet. only version 1.0.1+ has the menu button. apple is currently reviewing that version, and it should be available within a week. again, sorry for the delay. i wish apple was quicker with their review process.

It starts searching and then connects on my setup. Same ip and so one, the difference is only it catches the key presses ;)

i'm not sure what you mean. so it works completely normally after you start the app the second time?

Yes it works like it should the second time the app connects to the server.

interesting. some small changes to the networking code are in 1.0.1, so hopefully this will clear up once it's released.
